Organiser reserves
COMUNI-CO reserves the right to refuse a registration or to defer a participant without any refund if, in our opinion, his behaviour is harmful to the proper functioning of the school. All related expenses, including the return journey, will be borne by the participant and / or his family members. Participants or their local representative will be responsible for any damages or losses incurred during their stay.
Responsibility of the organiser
COMUNI-CO cannot be held responsible for the impossibility of assuring the services initially specified due to the inability of service providers, conflicts or serious disorders that are out of our direct control. COMUNI-CO cannot under any circumstances be held responsible in case of accident, illness, theft, damage and loss of property or caused to third parties in the place of stay or during the trip. Therefore, we recommend that you take out a personal insurance policy or one through the organising school.
Lastly, COMUNI-CO does not accept any responsibility for damages or injuries caused to persons or things during the stay. The responsible individual will have to pay for the damage caused to the school or to the family.
Moreover, COMUNI-CO advises EU students to travel with their Health Card.
Cancellation of a program
The organiser can cancel a course in case of force majeure, order of the authorities, strike, restlessness or other compelling reasons. The organiser will return the number of benefits not used.
Insurance
Insurance against cancellation, accident, illness, loss of property, theft or any accidental damage the student may cause to the property of others is the responsibility of the student and personal insurance is strongly recommended. You are liable to pay for any damage you cause at your accommodation or at school.
All EU students travelling to the UK are advised to obtain the European Health Insurance Card. Comuni-co will not accept any responsibility for the injury or damage caused to persons or property during the stay.
Accommodation
COMUNI-CO will endeavour to accommodate the students according to school or individual requirements. However, COMUNI-CO reserve the right to change the arrangement either prior to or during the course due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g. family cancellation) but still in the best interest of the students and the host families.
Junior Students
For all students under the age of 18, a parental consent form, included in the enrolment process, must be completed and sent to us in advance of any course.
If any students under 16 years stay with host families in the UK for 28 days or more, we are legally required to notify the relevant local authority about private fostering; the parent of the child should be involved with the arrangements.
Dietary Requirements
We will do our best to accommodate special dietary requirements. We reserve the right to charge a supplement for students requiring any diet where the family will need to buy special products (e.g. gluten free food, halal, etc).
Special needs
We will try to accommodate students with special needs. Bearing in mind that our students are housed in homestay accommodation, it may not be possible to admit students with a disability.
Medical conditions and illness
Enrolments are accepted on the understanding that the student has no illness or infirmity which might adversely affect the success of the stay, and that any transmissible disease suffered by the student must be declared at the time of booking. We reserve the right to terminate the course without refund of fees if this condition is breached.
Arrivals and departures
Arrivals at the host families’ home should normally be during the late afternoon or early evening. Late or early morning arrival/ departure transport (before 07:00 or after 23:00) will normally require a taxi and will not be undertaken by the host families.
Departure on the last day should normally be no later than the student’s original arrival time on the first day.
If an arrival transfer is requested, we must receive travel details as soon as possible (minimum of 14 days before arrival) so that an arrival transfer can be arranged.
Additional Expenses
We recommend that students allow a minimum of £50/ €70 per week for pocket money expenses during their stay.
Photo/video policy
According to Data Protection law COMUNI-CO will seek approval from parents/carers for taking photos or videos of their child to use them only for publicity and/or for learning objectives. COMUNI-CO will also seek approval from students before taking a photo/video and explain them its purpose. Photos/videos will be stored securely and will not be used for other purposes.

Complaints
For any complaints, please contact the organizing school directly and contact COMUNI-CO to resolve the complaint. The complaints received after this deadline will not be taken into consideration.
In the event that legal means should be used to resolve the complaint, the British legal procedure will be followed.
